The towns and cities of the Region of Valencia also celebrate Carnival. And some of them, in style. We tell you about the activities you can find in many of the family destinations that have the Tour & Kids seal of approval.
Carnival in Alcossebre and Alcalà de Xivert
Celebrate the festive spirit of Carnival in this region of Castellón over two weekends, packed with events. From 28 February to 2 March, Alcalà de Xivert will be transformed into a stage full of colour and joy. Then, from 7 to 9 March, Alcossebre will take over, promising days full of partying and entertainment. Enjoy the magic of Carnival in these charming towns. During the celebrations we will be able to enjoy parades, parades of floats, orchestras, discomovil, costume competitions... And even the pet carnival "Una animalada de carnestoltes" which is now in its 12th edition. More information
Carnival in Peñíscola
Peñíscola is one of the earliest towns to celebrate its carnival. The City by the Sea will host the festivities between 21 and 23 February. Throughout the three days of the big Carnival party, there will be a children's party, costume dances for children and adults, parades of groups, a disco and a chocolate party. More info
Carnival in Morella
In Morella the carnival will be celebrated on the 8th of March with a day full of activities. Young and old will be able to enjoy the costume parades, the chocolatada, perkutada, coclchonetas for the little ones, photocol, music, a big night party... And many surprises. More info
Villena Carnival
Villena celebrates its carnival from 22nd to 24th February. As every year, the first day will be the big children's party with inflatables, workshops, a photo booth, face painting, wooden games, activities with soap bubbles, entertainment and music for all ages. On the same day, from 6 p.m. onwards, the Carnival party will begin with DJ music, open to everyone. On Sunday there will be a big carnival parade and on Monday the burial of the sardine, which will bring the carnival to a close. More info.
Carnival in Xàbia
The streets of Xàbia will be full of colour on the 1st of March during the carnival parades. There will be a parade for children and adults, a musical show for the whole family, a party with orchestra music and a disco ball. More info
Carnival in Catellón de la Plana
The Grao de Castellón Carnival will be held from 28 February to 2 March 2025, with a programme full of activities for the whole family: children's, adults' and pets' fancy dress competitions, the great parade of floats, batukada, shows, parades, live music, children's activities such as workshops, face painting, wooden games... Carnival in Ayora
In Ayora, Carnival will begin on 28 February and will last until 8 March. During these days, the streets of Ayora will be filled with colour, joy and, above all, unique costumes that reflect the authentic essence of this community. There will be parties and activities for the little ones, a Remember Festival, Mascarotes, live music, parades... More info
Carnival in Cofrentes
In the town of Cofrentes, the carnival is focused on the little ones. On 1 March, the Children's Carnival is celebrated with a parade, activities for children and... disco music for kids. More info.
Carnival in Oropesa del Mar
Oropesa del Mar also celebrates Carnival from 28 February to 1 March. Among the activities programmed we can enjoy the traditional parades and costume contests, live music, disco for children and for adults... And a carnival mask workshop for the whole family! More info
Carnival in El Campello
On Saturday 1st March El Campello dresses up for a fun family day to celebrate Carnival 2025. Throughout the day there will be activities for children, teenagers and adults: candy fireworks, children's party with entertainment, games and magic, fancy dress parade and carnival evening with a live performance by the group La Senda and discomobil. Carnival at Azahar Beach Aparments
Coinciding with the carnival, the tourist apartment complex of Alcossebre Azahar Beach Aparments opens its event rooms and its new kids club. To celebrate, they have organised an event for the 2nd of March with a fancy dress party for the kids, children's activities, entertainment and surprises. In addition, children who come in costume will be entered into a draw to win a family weekend in one of the flats. In order to participate, attendance at the event must be confirmed. Carnival at Poseidon Hotels
